The annual Fall meeting of the Forest Greens - Perryman Community Association will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Clorox Plant on Perryman Road. It will be a requirement that each person attending the meeting show photo identification to be admitted. We ask that you come 10 minutes early to sign in.
All members are invited to review the minutes from past meetings online at www.fgpca.com.

Wood Ducks Nest Successfully on Forest Greens Lake

The wood duck is considered by many to be one of the greatest birds in our Chesapeake Bay landscape. However, a decade ago, the wood duck population was in serious decline. The Maryland Wood Duck Initiative was founded by Cliff Brown to counteract this decline. Now thanks to Mr. Brown and his many volunteers, the wood duck population is on the rise - even in our neighborhood!
2012 Community Mosquito Control Program

The Forest Greens - Perryman Community Association has submitted the application to have the Maryland Department of Agriculture do mosquito control activities in the Perryman & Forest Greens areas again in 2012. The Department will continue to emphasize modern pest management principals in controlling mosquitos. Abatement efforts will include major emphasis on control at the source (larviciding), whenever possible. Property owners are encouraged to remove any unnecessary water holding containers.
Mosquito control will begin on June 1, 2012 and run through September 20, 2012. The Forest Greens/Perryman area will be sprayed on Wednesday evenings after dark if conditions warrant.
If you DO NOT want your property sprayed, complete the exemption form. Additional information can be found at the Maryland Department of the Environment website.
Spring Cleanup and Beautification Day 2012

Forest Greens - Perryman Community Spring Clean-up and Beautification Day!
Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 9:00am to 12:00pm
Meet at the parking area on Clubhouse Road (near the Lake).
Bring heavy duty work gloves, work boots & hat.
Rain Date is scheduled for April 15 (check back if the weather is questionable)
A pizza lunch and drinks will be provided for all volunteers!
