The area in the vicinity of the Aberdeen Amtrak/MARC station has been recently designated as a state Transit Oriented Development (TOD) focus area. Come to the public meeting on October 13, 2011 at the Aberdeen City Council Chambers, 60 North Parke Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001. Route 715 Interchange Update

An update to the Route 715 and Route 40 interchange project has been posted at Dagger Press. Included in the update is a planned temporary new left turn from Route 40 onto Route 715 when the major work begins in 2012. A project update meeting will be scheduled for the public once the final design of the second phase is approved. The complete article can be read at the Dagger website.

APG Holding Public Meeting on Proposed Plan to Clean up Bush River Disposal Sites

The Army will present a proposed plan  to remediate two disposal sites in the Bush River Study Area at Aberdeen Proving Ground at a public meeting on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 7:15 pm at the Hampton Inn in Edgewood (2122 Emmorton Park Rd). The U.S. Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) invites the community to comment on a proposed environmental plan for the Bush River Study Area. The fact sheet summarizes the environmental studies and the alternatives considered by the Army and describes the preferred action plan. The fact sheet also provides information on how you can submit your comments on the proposed plan to the Army. All comments must be received by June 30, 2011.
