Bush River Dredging to Begin Fall 2009

The dredging and navigation improvements to Upper Bush River and Otter Point Creek are scheduled to begin this Fall. The contract for the dredging was approved by the County Board of Estimates on September 24, 2009. All permits have been issued and the contractor is scheduled to begin work shortly after October 15. Over the next couple of weeks the Department of Natural Resources will be marking the channels and the contractor will be mobilizing equipment.

Mechanical or hydraulic dredging  can only be performed between 10/15/2009 and 2/15/20010.
