Dear Community Association Member,
Your Community Association wants to organize a Neighborhood Watch Program because of the reality of crime (house, garage and car burglaries, vandalism, etc) in our neighborhood. Would you be interested in doing something about it? Forest Greens – Perryman Community Association (FGPCA) and the Harford County Sheriff’s office are sponsoring a Neighborhood Watch Program where you live. The Sheriff’s Department requires that 50% of all residences in a neighborhood (a street, a portion of a street, a community, etc) participate. Participation involves attendance at 2 organizational meetings and 1 meeting per year thereafter.
We need your participation. If you can participate, first complete the attached notice and return it as indicated. Second, you or someone on your street will need to distribute additional notices to all the neighbors in your locality. Notices can be mailed, hand-delivered, placed in doorways or gateways, etc. Do not place in mailboxes. Please let the organizing committee know how many notices are needed for your immediate area and to whom they should be mailed or delivered. Enter the number of additional notices desired in the place provided at the bottom of your notice.
Once the committee receives enough notices, each respondent will be notified of the first meeting with the Sheriff’s Department. If an insufficient number of responses are received in a locality, respondents will be so notified.
Your neighbors are interested in organizing a proactive program that will improve neighborhood safety and allow you more comfort and confidence on your own street. We hope to hear from you soon.
Because our delivery methods may overlap, you may receive more then one notice. Please discuss this with your neighbors and distribute additional copies to your neighbors.
