Harry reviewed minutes from last meeting and talked about the input from Developer Jim Shaw and the need to develop a community plan that will be presented to the county allowing input from the community as to how the Forest Greens/Perryman area should be developed. Harry talked to two consultants, David Sutherland and Tony Redmond, both recommended by Jim. A future meeting with them is to be scheduled.
We talked briefly about the meeting with the county executive and his development director and how to present what the development committee is doing to the community at annual meeting.
There were several excellent suggestions for road improvements. An underpass from Canning House to Chelsea. No connection from Mitchell to Fords lane.
A brief discussion on creating a non profit 501c3 corporation.
A list of the parties most affected (stake holders) by improvements to the peninsula was developed:
1. Mitchell Family and adjacent homeowners.
2. Forest Greens/Perryman Association
3. Harford County
4. State of MD, Dept. of Transportation, EPA
5. APG
6. Amtrak
7. BGE
8. Rite Aid
9. Riverside Association
10. City of Aberdeen
11. Harford Land Trust
12. Baltimore Regional Partnership
13. NOAA
14. Department of Natural Resources
15. Friends of Harford County
16. HUD, Perrywood.
It was suggested a meeting of the Development Committee be held before the next annual meeting.
The Forest Greens – Perryman Community Association's (FGPCA), Development Committee has published the final version of the "Community's Recommendations for Development on the Perryman Peninsula".
