The
Forest Greens Perryman Community Association
Neighborhood Watch Organizing Committee has distributed over 450 information
and preliminary enrollment notices in an attempt to find those people
interested in participating in a Neighborhood Watch Program. Of the 450
distributed, 59 were returned. Of the 59 returned, 19 were FGPCA members.
Having
given everyone ample time to think it over, we must now complete the process
and set up the areas that qualify for a Neighborhood Watch Program. There are 4
areas that have 50% of the homes interested, thus qualifying for participation:
- Area 1 - Park Beach Drive from Oakdale to Church Point
- Area 2 - Mitchell Drive from Locust to Canning House
- Area 3 - Ford's Lane
- Area 4 - Michaelsville E. / Johnson Lane.
The households who responded to the notices will receive letters informing them whether or not their areas qualified. Those that did qualify by meeting the guidelines set up by the Sheriff's Department will also be notified in September of a community meeting with the Sheriff's Department to get the program started. Households that did not qualify can talk to their neighbors and try to get more interest. New areas can be added later if more homes indicate interest.
The Forest Greens Perryman Community Association will contact by mail this month those households that qualified concerning the initial meeting.
